Arise For Development
There is strength in numbers, and we work to inform and encourage others to take a stand with GUM.
Industrialization
GUM is committed to transforming Ghana's economy by eliminating high costs at the ports. Our free port policy is a key initiative designed to lower import and export expenses, thus fostering economic growth and making Ghana a more competitive player in global trade.
Education
Revamping Ghana's educational system is at the heart of our movement. We prioritize technical and vocational education and training (TVET) to equip our citizens with the skills necessary for sustainable development. This focus on practical, job-oriented education will help build a robust and capable workforce for the future.
Galamsey
Despite Ghana's wealth in natural resources like gold, diamonds, bauxite, and manganese, poor management has plagued our mining sector. GUM recognizes the government's shortcomings in tackling this issue. We will implement comprehensive reforms to regulate small-scale mining, ensuring that it is conducted responsibly and benefits the local communities and the nation as a whole.
Welfare
To enhance the quality of life for our senior citizens, GUM proposes monthly allowances for all individuals retiring at age 60. This policy aims to provide financial security and dignity to our retirees, honoring their lifelong contributions to our society.
